Two passionate enthusiasts who just needed to meet each other to launch a venture of this kind.

Firstly, Diego Escobar, for whom urban art is not just a passion, but the guiding thread of his life.  Art first became so important to him through collecting a series of different artworks, taking commissions along the way.  He went on to occupy a series of positions at major European auction houses including Sotheby’s in London, Galartis in Lausanne and Tajan in Paris.

Secondly, a french business lawyer passionated by the urban art, collector from the outset, who is active in the primary and secondary markets.  He sought to increase his involvement, and take leap into the art world to promote the artists who mean so much to him.

A work that won’t lose money on resale, which hasn’t been sold in one auction after another, and that isn’t part of an artist’s production line output.  Instead, it should have been held by a collector for several years and sold directly at the auction – but above all it needs to be a piece of art that wins your heart, triggers emotions, blows you away, and challenges your preconceptions: in short, a work that you love.

ArtCan Gallery offers the most distinguished works of their kind the vast majority of which come directly from private collectors or directly from the artists’ personal collections.

Our site is regularly updated with new deals; nevertheless, if none of our current artworks appeal to you right now, you can create an alert (link to the form) for artists whom you wish to see in future.

In order to simplify the acquisition process, we offer tax-friendly solutions for all our clients, whether you are a private collector or a business.
